For at least one month before your hair removal appointment at one of our Melbourne clinics, you’ll need to prepare by following these instructions:
- Stay out of the sun or use a sunscreen for unavoidable exposure, as tanned skin can make it difficult for the laser to target hair follicles.
- Avoid all sunless self-tanning methods, as this can have a similar effect as a natural tan and increase the risk of pigmentation changes during partial or full body laser hair removal.
- Do not pluck, wax or bleach the hair for one month before your appointment.
- The procedure may have to be postponed if you have a tan, as we cannot treat people who have tanned skin because of an increased risk of pigmentation change.
